As Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Robert F. Hale is the principal advisor to Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates on all budgetary and fiscal matters, including the development and execution of the Defense Department’s annual budget of more than $600 billion. As Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Hale also oversees the Department’s financial policy, financial management systems, and business modernization efforts.

How to participate:
This audio conference is open to all ASMC members, chapters, corporate members and defense commands and agencies and is expected to last between 60 minutes and 90 minutes, depending on the question period. If you would like to participate, first contact your ASMC chapter leaders or other organization leaders and ask them to form a group for a shared line. You may also participate on your own or form your own group.

To participate you need a quiet room with a phone. If the audience group is large, you may want to position the speaker phone near a microphone to amplify the sound. Upon registration for the live event, the registrant will receive a toll free number and PIN to call in a few minutes before the start time. All those on the live conference line will hear the speaker and will have an opportunity to ask questions. Advance questions, related to the 8 initiatives, may be sent to;  however, priority given to the live questions. All participants in the live or recorded conference will hear the answers to all questions.
Each participant earns CPE credit (at the rate of 1.0 credits for each 50 minutes of participation in the talk and the question and answer session), which means each attendee may earn up to 2 CPE credits.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Cancellations must be received in writing by September 17, 2010 to obtain partial refund. Refunds will be subject to an administrative charge of $15.00. Persons/organizations who register and fail to call in will not receive a refund.
Change of Payment Policy: Each change to payment method will be subject to a $15.00 administrative charge.
