Last week, DoD released the results of the Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) along with the FY2011 DoD budget.  DoD witnesses Michele Flournoy, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, VADM P. Stephen Stanley, Joint Staff Director for Force Structure, Resources, and Assessment, and Christine Fox, Director of Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (formerly PA&E), testified before the House Armed Services Committee on the security environment and the defense strategy to defend America’s interests worldwide.  The witnesses defined that strategy in four priority objectives:  1) prevail in today’s wars. 2) enhance U.S.’s capabilities to prevent and defer conflict; 3) prepare to defeat adversaries in a wide range of potential conflicts; and 4) preserve and enhance the all-volunteer force.  You can find a copy of the QDR and a complete set of briefing slides and fact sheets on the QDR website.
