Job Description:

Kearney is currently seeking a Financial Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Dayton or DFAS Columbus, Ohio for the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS).   This position will function at the Senior Analyst level and will serve as a key member on the Deployment & Training team and interact primarily with DFAS Columbus (Training Branch) in support of the world-wide deployment and day-to-day operations of DEAMS. This position will require travel as part of DEAMS Deployment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop a complete training program to include identification of personnel training requirements
  • Perform a comprehensive review of DEAMS related training guides/job aids DFAS is currently using training guides
  • Review and complete an update of DEAMS training guides based on upgrade to Oracle R12
  • Create a variety of curriculum products – with emphasis on web-based training applications
  • Identify and plan appropriate technology-based instructional design strategies and objectives based on task, learner, and subject matter expert analysis
  • Create interactive multimedia instruction content outlines, flowcharts, and storyboards that address written, visual, and audio requirements
  • Use instructional design documents and state-of-the-art tools to develop interactive multimedia instruction products
  • Properly document design and development work in accordance with customer requirements
  • Utilize automated training software to translate written documentation to web-based training (WBT) scripts/courses for use as long-distance training.  Candidate will develop, review, update, and maintain documents for system deployment and sustainment training using specified software according to current requirement
  • Design and develop Web Based Training (WBT) in support of long-distance learning via Learning Management Systems (LMS):  1)  Develop simulations that incorporate elements of scenario learning  2)  Upload, test, document, and maintain WBT courses on LMS and  3)  Manage data requirements and update LMS packages as the material is updated
  • Compile edits and review documents in coordination with subject matter experts to ensure validity and accuracy of training documentation (written and web-based training modules)

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 15 years of Air Force FM experience.  An acceptable substitution for the AF FM experience is 4 years of direct DEAMS service work experience
  • DFAS experience & knowledge of operations required
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle User Productivity Kit (UPK) and/or Adobe Captivate software required
  • Knowledge of automated training software (UPK and/or Captivate) and Adult Learning standards
  • Possesses knowledge of Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) and WBT SCORM compliant requirements
  • Experience with the latest technologies in authoring programs, audio, graphics, video, and animation through the web is essential
  • Candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. secret level security clearance (requires US Citizenship)
