Job Information: Seeking candidates with experience in FIAR, NIST, FISCAM, USSGL, OMB A-123 and GAGAS

Job Title: Navy FISCAM Auditor

Job Description: Candidates should have at least 4 years' experience in program management, FIAR program and methodology, auditing, accounting/internal controls, financial statement compilation and reporting, asset management/valuation, business process analysis, data analytics, IT controls, strategic communications, FIAR sustainment, audit remediation, and audit response.

  • Identify key (1) automated business process application controls (BPACs), (2) system-generated reports, (3) interfaces, and the systems that support each of these
  • Identify key service provider relationships and reliance (e.g., SSAE-16 reports) and relevant complimentary user entity controls (CUECs) within the purview of the Navy
  • Suggest testing procedures for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of these controls to consider data assertions over the completeness, accuracy/validity, and timeliness of control outputs
  • Provide input to BPAC and CUEC assessment strategy
  • Professional, confident demeanor that allows the individual to be client-facing and describe to purpose of current strategy, tactics, and activities we are pursuing
  • Needs to be able to work independently and diligently
  • Proficient at business writing, excel manipulation (e.g., pivot tables), and PowerPoint slide design
  • IT audit readiness support
  • IT control testing and finding remediation
  • Experience with FIAR, NIST, FISCAM, USSGL, OMB A-123 and GAGAS
  • Experience with linking GITC’s to BPAC’s during a Financial statement audit
  • Familiarity with federal accounting and financial accounting systems
  • Strong presentation development and writing skills (e.g., proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience and communication skills to lead client and internal meetings
  • Experience with internal controls design and implementation
  • Ability to obtain or currently holds a NavyCAC and available to work at the Washington Navy Yard
  • Bachelor's

Preferred Certification: CPA; CDFM; CGFM; CIA
